When a WA resident sells a gun to an out of state buyer, can he send it directly to the buyer's FFL?
Or does he need a WA FFL to send it for him?
I don't believe a WA FFL is needed, but want to be sure.  Thanks.

Legally there is no requirement to have a WA FFL send it, however the receiving FFL may have their own policies and require it for all transfers.

You can send longguns USMAIL.  Handguns must go common carrier (Not USMAIL).  (Convincing either is another story).

WA State law does not prohibit the sale or transfer.

The Buyer's State law may prohibit such a transfer (some only allow transfers from other dealers).

The Buyer's FFL may not accept such a transfer (some dealers want enough information or a sending dealer).
