So I stopped by this shop in Bremerton the other day......ya know, the one by the highway, and asked if they knew of anyone who threaded barrels....after explaining myself and clarified it was an AR barrel cause the looks I got was of great confusion..I continued to explain that; locally the only armor wanted $85 to thread the barrel comp not included.....the resounding response was that they were surprised and I would be lucky to find anyone else who would do it for less.  Im not likey this.  Where is the comrodery NSOS's

My question is what is the difference between the government regulation and the price gouging that has been going on since the ban expired?  Its ALLLLL about money only the only difference is who you give it too........IM going to start demanding more money for the services I provide..who cares about the greater good?  So do I spend the money to get my barrel threaded or buy the receiver for my Hungarian AMD 65.

there is always buying your own lathe and doing the work yourself. How much will that cost?

You go to machine shops and ask, don't use the phone. If you get lucky and find a gun builder who likes you, they'll cut you some slack. It takes time to set up a lathe and if they do it during business hours, you'll pay shop rate. You want to find some guys who hang out after work and make their own toys.

Sometimes the cash is just cheaper.
