Had a good time. Couldnt believe there were a dozen for breakfast!

Broke the hammer on my MAC. Maybe that lil POS just isnt designed for high rates of fire. But she sure is fun when she works. Oh well, back to the internet for spare parts.

And never forget todays lesson on AR pistols. One shot one kill on Tannerite. No velocity or targeting problems whatsoever.

A Garand in my hands will go 2/2 on propane tanks, kill them and then bump off the last 6. And then the owner will break it.

Saturday clean up crew-----  We cleaned up twice the area you did. Next scheduled shoot we challenge you to a future clean off!

There I am leaving the resteraunt, waiting to make aleft turn at the light and I see a beat up brown and tan Nissan pickup truck in front of me.  Once on HWY 2 I'm in the left lane (passing cars) and I see that there are friggin bullet exit holes in the truck bed one is clearly from a 50cal!

Cleanup was indeed done.

What's with the Planet of the Apes look?
Man, that took a couple of seconds to register, but had me laughing!
Is it the new Official ARFCOM HTF Bio-Chem Cleanup Helmet, or what?

ETA:  I just looked again.  WHAT the hell?

Not a thing wrong with the Garand.
It was "the free" ammo that was the problem.

After you guys left I ran another 4 clips of the factory PMC through it plus Vapors ran another clip  with no problems.

I checked out "the free" ammo with a set of vernier calipers when I got home, the brass was just a little off on the large side...

I'm sorry I missed meeting you all. I wasn't able to get away until 1530 which put me at the pit an hr. later. As far as I could tell you all were long gone. I did meet a few hunters though. :) They liked my ARs. That piece of steel down range sure came in handy as I forgot my targets. :) I hope to catch up w/ you all on the next shoot. Once the rainy season sets in do you punt until spring or brave the rain?

Looks like LC62 wasn't so good.

Good now clean it, grease it, and oil that stock up.

When is your shipment of HXP supposed to arrive?

That was second shift. First shift made the neat little line you see of brass and crap across the pic, second shift pitched in and put first shift on break.

Then everyone got in the mood and we moved a hella lotta trash in a short amount of time. One quick Range cold and we cleaned 3X's a s much as the Saturday crew.

Easy big guy , I have cleaned up my share of brass with some of the crew and I know every one helps out, key word is LOOKS--><--. You/I can see in the picture that there is a big area that is cleaned up. Some day we are going to make it up to the north shoots.

Yup...shoots great. Actually I think I ran a total of 2 clips (it feels weird using the term "clip" with respect to a gun...but in this case, its correct) through it.  Very accurate and fun to shoot. After shooting it, my AR feels like a toy!

Aside from having my own "crappy ammo problem" my loss of the day was my shooting glasses (scratched up shooting Joey's rifles) which gave me an excuse to order a new set....however I'm going hi-tech this time with Rudy Project glasses.  Unfortunatly I won't have them before my next match this weekend.

Great to see all you guys again today!

My only loss for the day was some ammo. I lost it downrange :)

It is too bad we can't get a vehicle back there - a couple of pickup trucks full of stuff would put a big dent in the mess.

Could we contact the property owners and try to arrange a cleanup day?

On of the pit operators in Idaho was willing to put up gates and give me the power to trespass anyone off the property if I was willing to clean it up. It would be impossible to do the same thing at Robe, but if we could get in there in spring for a major cleanup perhaps...

probably just a pipe dream. Even a simple tractor with a scraper blade dragging around would make a lot of difference.

I just realized one of those parking-lot vacuum trucks would be the bee's knees for this cleanup. We could get all of the brass and hulls fairly easily.
