I'm picking up my g/f at SeaTac this evening and she had one request for the ride home.
A nice big grease-soaked hamburger to chow down on.
Are there any noteable burger joints on either I-5 or 167 south of SeaTac/Renton?
Thanks!

Not sure what is that far south. If you shot over 405 to exit 5 you could go over to Coulon Park and get a nice greasy double bacon cheeseburger at Kidd Valley.

Just hit an OutBack and have a burger there.

There's an OutBack by South Center.

Pick Quick in Fife, just off the freeway on old 99!  I'm not sure how late they're open however.  2nd choice, Frisko Freeze in Tacoma by Mary Bridge Children's Hospital.  Milton Tavern on old 99 is also a very good choice.

I'd like to stay close to the 5 or 167......Renton/405 confuses me.  Just ask SNS.

Burger Express, on HWY 99 in Federal Way between 320th and 348th.  Get off on the 320th exit, head west and make a left on HWY 99.  It's about 8 blocks down on your right side next to a Napa.

I think it is too late for tonight.  Here are some good (in my opinion) burger spots (not necessarily near SeaTac/Renton):

The "nothing but cheap ass greasy burgers" category:
These are by far the "worst" burgers of the bunch.  But damn they taste good!
Dick's (Seattle, U-District, downtown, etc.)
Frisco Freeze (Tacoma area, very similar to Dick's)

The "greasy burgers with options" category:
Kidd Valley (Coulon Park, Bellevue, etc.)
Wibbley's (Bellevue)
Carl's Junior (Spokane is the closest, sadly)

The "slightly more upscale" burger category:
Fat Burger (Bellevue, Redmond, Issaquah)
Red Mill (Phinney Ridge near Woodland Park)
Red Robin (I love the Royal.  Nothing like a fried egg on a burger, yum!)

The "upscale" burger category:
The Met (Downtown Seattle)

I just like hamburgers.  I even eat at McDogballs, Burger King, and Jack in the Box.  My all time favorite place to get a hamburger though is In-N-Out Burger.  I just wish I could get one outside of Kommiefornia or Las Vegas.  A "double double, animal style" is where it is at!

I give you....  The Big Mac.

The best burger ever invented in the U.S.

You guys forgetting XXX in Issaquah?  Sneak in a knife and fork or wear short sleeves...

D'oh!  I did forget about them.  I like the theme too (cars, not porn!)  Although porn would be a nice touch for a burger joint....

Dicks in Seattle(I-5), Dicks in Spokane(I-90), DKs in Ephrata(hwy17), Big Dougs in Bothell(I-405), Miners in Yakima(cant remember but is second exit) and Pops in and out in Moses Lake(off of Hwy17).

I forgot Zip's too.  Mostly in eastern Washington (Spokane, Tri-cities).  Pretty decent burgers, just don't stop at the one in Ritzville unless you have some time to kill.  That place has been excruciating slow everytime I've eaten there......

In&out is the best. If they  opened one up here they would make a killing.

There is, or least as of a couple years ago, a Red Mill on Dravus St, right by the bridge over the railroad yard.

I keep e-mailing them that suggestion whenever I think about it.  Now that you mention it, it's been a few weeks....

Seriously, though.  It's a totally family owned business, so we gotta convince them if we want one!

It's still there - I eat there quite often.  Almost as good as the burgers, cell phones aren't allowed!

You might have to take her to Red Robin in Des Moines.
There used to be a greasy hamburger joint next to Safeway in Sea-Tac but I think they closed.  The name was Paul’s Burgers.  Greasy burgers and fries.  They still have one open but it's located in Burien.
