I was the 'Instructing Operator' for a brand new Part Timer today.  Guy's from New York/Boston and lately, Las Vegas.
He commented how nice the weather in Seattle was, as we experienced about 10-minutes worth of sunshine...then it started in with the grey/rain.
"Stick around a few minutes" is the standard answer here.

No-thanks, poor traction, poor visability, and all the other hazards of driving in the rain I can do without as well.

I was operating a 230 excavater the other day in a downpour and the lightening strikes were hitting way too close to that giant lightening rod.

Well, if you do it 'just right', you can take this 60-ft., rear-wheel-drive coach and PUNCH IT around the corner...causing the center axle to rise just enough to lose traction and toss the Bus into a sideways skid, akin to using a PosiTraction in a Muscle Car, and THEN, rain is FUN.
CAUTION: Don't do this with passengers on board.

I used to drive shuttle buses at Sea-Tac airport. I could get the passengers in the last row of seats to fly in the air if I hit the speed bump in front of our lot just right

According to the little woman, who, incidentally, works for Comcast, a trunk line was damaged, and people from Tacoma to Seattle had outages.

BTW, no problems here

There are a few intersections in the city where one may be able to see a concert truck like this ---->  /
with the proper application of fuel, turn and timing. Do not try this while loaded.

Nothing. Must have happened while I was out of town on vacation. Last incident I heard of was the mother or 4 who committed suicide by throwing herself under the wheels of a garbage train near the RTA station.
