Im removing the front sight off my Mini 30 and need to know if after removing the roll pin, do I need to heat the sight to get it off, doesnt want to break free??  Currently in the process......anyone got any ideas??

I never had to heat mine up....just drift ou the pin and use a rubber hammer...

Its luck of the draw with mini's. Some come off easy some dont. I had to use a grinder to remove one on a Mini14 long long ago. I was planning to replace it anyhow so throwing it away was no big deal. HTH

Finally got it off using a propane torch to heat the sight and the lock tight material underneath.  It was still alittle difficult to get it off.  Thanks for the input...............now on with the flash suppressor and HK style site...........it is legal..........right?????????????

If that is the only evil feature, I don't see why not. If it's not the only evil feature, I'd advise not discussing it on ar15.com. Just my opinion.
