As I wander around the board I see a lot of people from Wa.  Some have been around here a long time, some with quite a few posts yet I have never seen them post in here.  Are they here and don't post?  Do they not even know we're here?  Do they not care?  Has 2WP scared them away.

Looking for answers...

I am still amazed as this board has been up for about a year and a half... I hear of people all
the time just finding there way here.

Tweak...let me hear it.

It was at least partially my fault IIRC!  I agree w/your observation 1GR.  Seems like a lot of folks do not check in with their local state forums.  Maybe they all just suck ass.....

it was probably 6 months before i found the hometown forums. i was still in kentucky at the time, and the kentucky forum is pretty lame. hardly anyone ever posts anything there. with as active as the Wa forum is i don't know why more people don't post here.

maybe a post in GD is needed for the newer members to AR15.com to realize that the hometown forums exist.

I am very new to the board and was direct here by another Washington member.

A link would help those with dial-up connections that find exploring very difficult because the page takes so long to load.

The Earth is degenerating today. Bribery and corruption abound. Children no longer obey their parents, every man wants to write a book, and it is evident that the end of the world is fast approaching

The last 2 deals I have done with WA members, I ask them, "Why werent you at our last function. It was in Hometown". They hadnt heard of it, I supplied a link.

Spread the word. Tell teh gunners about arfcom, tell the locals about Hometown.

I used to come to the Hometown forums page
ar15.com/forums/board.html?b=8
whenever my guys were going shooting to post the info. My slow as machine took so long to load the page all I ever saw was the original regional first parts, East Coast, Mountain, etc., not the individual states. After I posted a GT someone, JAFO?PE?, told me I'd probably get more activity if I posted in the WA forum. "WA forum?" I said. I'd never let the page load long enough.

Looks like the format has changed now tho.

ETA,

Maybe add a WA linky in our siglines?

I seriously only looked at the GD board for quite a long time.  The site is so SLOW that I just had a bookmark right to GD.  I started poking around one day and found ALL these other forums and just about wet myself.

I pop in to see what's going on, but rarely post.  I guess I need to remedy that.

All the good stuff that happens in Washington happens to far away from where I live.  I'm in Prosser and Kennewick.

I go to Kennewick several times a year.  I alway post here that I am heading over if anyone wants to shoothat weekend.  The only one ever to hook up with me was wombat!  We had a blast though.  Just FYI, my next journey over there will be the weekend of April 10,11.  I am easily found at the  track during the horseraces in the ground level bar.  Come down on Sat and we'll make arraingements to go shooting on Sunday.

Yeah, I think you Washington people are lame!  Besides, if I get this job I'll be interviewing for, I will be posting at the Indiana forum, soon.

Prosser!!

Heck, I'm in Wapato!

Not much happens here on this side of the state.

I did meet up w/ 1G when he was down hunting coyotes a while back.

And yes, I'm guilty of not checking in the WA forum that often.....

LOL!

If I did have to move, we need to get wasted at Rocksport / Admiral Pub, since you live in West Seattle.

I didn't even know there was a horse track down here.  Doubt i could hit the bar either (only 19).  What do you bring down with you for shooting purposes?  I should have my newest AR done by then.

I check up on the board every now and again.  But everything seems to happen over on the West side and Walla Walla is a little far.  Hell only been to Seattle 5 times in 30 years.  Maybe I should get out more.

I didn't know this board existed till I saw tweak's sig line.

Good idea BTW.
