Well over a foot now at home.  Only a couple inches here at work (downtown Seattle).

Looks like a couple of inches and still snowing here in Snohomish. I'm looking to forward to heading north to see how Skagit County, Whatcom County, and British Columbia fared.

Got between 5 and 6 inches here in Granite Falls, and it doesn't look like it will stop anytime soon.

CAn you say: Vacation Day!

About five inches in Ballard as of 10:30.  Still coming down.  It cracks me up to see it gently falling, creating a very peaceful scene, and hearing the news call it a "Winter Storm"!!!

6 1/2-7" headed to 8" here in Poulsbo. It started pretty late it seemed, but it came down hard once it got here.

KOMO is saying the rain that this was supposed to wash this away later this evening is instead going to fall as snow to begin with, and then turn to rain later in the night. Looks like this stuff might stick around a bit longer than expected if they're right.

The snow is sure to last longer than expected.  Here is why: I picked up a new 1911 last night.  The snow will likely last just long enough to keep me away from the range for a few days and drive me crazy!

1" of "dry as sand" snow that just piles up against the house and leaves clumps of bare grass showing, looks like the beach. Windy as hell though up here, was down in Woodinville/Silver Lake all morning and they had 3" or so inches.  Absolutely zero people at Costco though, that was a nice change.

5 inches or so from Green Lake to Ballard.

I work on the East side of Green Lake and it's too nasty out to drive my no traction 2wd Ranger home so I walked home (about 4 miles).

OK not home first I went to the liquor store down the street and got some Scotch then I went do to the Other Coast Cafe and got a Reuben sandwich.

At the base of the hill from Phinny to 46th there was a county van, a miata,  a subaru wagon, and a firebird trying to make it up the hill.
If you know this hill you'll know that it's on the steep side and it's kind of long.  The van was using sand for traction, the miata had a few zip ties around the rear tires, the subaru had nothing extra, and the firebird had what must have been stoners at the wheel.

None of them got anywhere.

Pictures will follow after I've had a few more shots and I start to taper off.

If you guys are sick of the snow, there is always TEXAS.

BTW, Steve.  Have TRG doing "angel in the wet snow", OK?  He loves to try it once in his lifetime.

Since Saturday I have 24"+, wind blowing 15-25 mph and now the freezing rain is coming down.  Should be interesting trying to get to work tomorrow.

I have to agree 1GUN I wish it would last for a while longer.  The State nor the County have plowed the main road by my house so people are riding their snow machines to be able to get around.
