I need some assistance finding a good gun-shop in the seattle area , like most people i am a transplant to this city , i am also i long time lurker just newly registered to ARFCOM.

i have been to Butch's , and I have also been to Wade's , both were lacking in selection , and Wade's in particular was over-priced .

I did a pretty good job convincining my roomate that a Mosin-Nagant m44 might by up his alley , so he wanted to perhaps , tonight , go see if we could find some to take a look at , so a plce that deals in curio and relic stuff , and surplus stuff , would be nice

all help is apreciated thanks in advance

Big5 Sporting Goods usually has them.  There are several stores in the Seattle area.

Either that or go to the next gunshow in Puyallup.  They have a good selection of just about everything! (except SA 5.56)

I don't care where you go, as long as it is NOT BUTCH'S. I am a professional sales person, I enjoy it, never in my life have I ever met a group of individuals that just blatantly don't care what you buy as long as you buy something. I don't like asking specific questions about guns and getting a "yep thats a good one answer".

Ben's Loan in Renton has a bunch of surplus/imported stuff. It's a little crowded in there, but a good shop.

bigscrun , i have to agree with you there about Butch's , the last time i was in there they had a Galil Arm in .308, it made me alittle sad , it just looked so out of place among all those Hi-Point carbines.

But on the other hand , at least it is not catering to the suburbanite crowd , with the absurd mark-up that comes along with that.Wade's had used pistols for sale for what i would expect to pay new-in-box

anyway thanks for the input , keep it comin'

You have to remember one thing about Wades, with the microsoft campus nera by and all of the softies coming in and out of there they have to be more expensive. Now for that extra expense you get:
A clean well light showroom, a wide selection of most modern firearms and a fairly knowledgable sales staff.
When you go to Butch's you smell like a dirty ashtray after you leave there.

Personally I like Federal Way Discount Guns, they are always busy and don't BS you about guns. I also like Kesselring's(I hope thats how to spell it) but it is a good hour and half away up north.

My favorite is still the Puyallup WAC show.
