Depends on where you take it to. Some places look the other way while others will try to get you for it. Even though there are no emissions testing in PA for diesels EGR deletes are still federally illegal. Stay away from some stealerships and some local shops but performance shops and shops in the Quakertown area don't remotely care if there's one as long as everything else is in working order. Long story short yes I passed up until I sold my truck . Went through Faulkner Ford.
