Or opinions of any?  I'm looking for something fairly nice for a three day trip.
Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, The Rittenhouse, or such.  I read the reviews, but like anything else, they're all over the place.
I would like somewhere with a formal restaurant.
Most likely something in a suite in any event.  Anyone stayed somewhere they could recommend.

I live in Center City.  Are you flexible on the restaurant requirement?  Yes, there are some hotels with good restaurants (e.g. the Swann Lounge at the Four Seasons) but if I were you I'd get a hotel in a central location so you can hit any number of the fine dining establishments in town.

As an example, you might consider staying at a hotel near City Hall (e.g. the Westin) because you'd be within walking distance of some of the best steakhouses in town (The Capital Grille and Ruth's Chris are both within 3-4 blocks of City Hall).  In contrast, if you were staying at the Four Seasons you'd be in a nice area but the fine dining is not within short walking distance.

I've stayed at the Loew's hotel and would recommend it...

What are you looking to do during your visit?  That will help a lot in providing guidance.

Both the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown and the Courtyard Marriott are nice. I've stayed at both, both in Center City.

Ritz Carlton.  Walking distance to theatres and more fine dining than you'll have time to enjoy.

stay at the Sofitel. they have great valet service and their rooms, while a little old fashioned, still are tops for condition and are totallly free of bbs. they are still CC philly and offer good rates for a premium hotel(their bar is really good)/ my wife and I  walked 2 blocks and found some of the the best dining available in philly on our stay there....One of the perks was the beds, unbeliveably soft comfy beds(lets them wake u up its funny). You really don't want to leave....
