Butler Co. residents should be aware that Sheriff Rickard is retiring this year.  Sheriff Rickard has done a good job and has been a freind to us who CCW.

Today I met with a Mr. Mike Slupe who is running for the office.  He informed that he is a big supporter of CCW, and would like to create more awareness of the people Right to Bear Arms.  He also informed me that he has no problem giving "CLEO sign-off"  for NFA items.  In fact he said he thought it was crazy what good folks have to do to obtain NFA items.

I would suggest that folks who can vote do vote for Mike Slupe.  The primary is May 18th, this gets him on the ballot as a Republican for the November election.

Mr. Slupe has 22yrs. expeirience working in LE,  9-1-1 call centers, as an EMT as well as saftey programs at various schools.

I wish we could get someone like that in Lawrence Co.  Our Sheriff is a tool.

Mike is a good/fair cop, and a good guy all around. I no longer work in BC, but was in his FOP Lodge for quite some time. The residents of BC would be very well served by him as their Sheriff. His 2A stance that he advised you on is no shock to me, he is a pretty conservative guy. I'll be sure to call him and wish him well and advise him that he is the subject of a post on ARF.COM!!
