I was with my buddy an hour ago and he was just denied purchase w/out reason given. He filled out the denial form and now has to wait. He purchased a firearm back in April with no problem. The dealer was on the phone with them (instacheck) for almost 20 mins when the female on the other end told him that the transaction was denied and when he asked "Why?", she said she couldn't tell the him. Anyone else has something similar? Thanks |
![]() Two Possibilities : A: Bad / incorrect Info entered in the Database B: He been a Bad Boy since April ![]() Most of the info is here as to why people get denials. www.psp.state.pa.us/psp/lib/psp/SP4-135.pdf If the Gov. made a mistake they will fix it. If not ........... he should pack light. ![]() . |

Well, I just spoke to another dealer and he said if it was anything criminal, LE would have been contacted and Junior would have had shiny jewelry placed on him on his way to the hoosgow. So as suggested above, it was probably bad info entered. Just have to wait on the results of the denial request to get the real reason. |

Had the same thing happen to me with my last transfer.... denied. My FFL said the "clerk" on the other end of the phone strongly suggested I appeal the denial through the correct channels. He gave me the forms and the address, I filled them out and sent them off. A couple of weeks later, I got a letter from the "Powers That Be" that the transfer could be completed and that there was no problem with me buying or owning firearms in PA. No explanation given for the original denial. Took the letter back to my FFL, they called to finalize the transfer and even then had to inform the "clerk" that they were holding the letter and what it said. Transfer complete. Was told by my FFL that I would probably want to take that letter with me every time I was buying or transferring a firearm in PA. Still don't know what the hold up was... guess someone with my name was a bad boy. |
