Sure looks that way. The Philly DA said if it happened in her jusridiction, those kids would have been locked up.

It sounds like it to me...I was hit by a drunk driver (23 yr. old female very hot) and after the brethalyzer that handcuffed her and drove her away as if she robbed a bank...They didn't do that with his kid after he admitted to being high.

I 've been listening to all these callers on sprts radio making comments like "the gun was'nt  registered, thats a felony" or "The gun was'nt lisenced, he'll get five years minimum"

Am I missing something...what the heck are they talking about.

1) The callers are idiots.

2) The word is spelled "wasn't."

There are posters floating around that say something about getting caught with an illegal gun will get you 5 years.  The only way, at least in Philly, that you will see a 5 year prison term for getting nabbed with a gun w/out a permit to carry is if you get tried Federally for it.  The only way the Feds will pick up a case here in Philly is if the individual has 3 prior convictions for gun related offences.

Basically, if you get caught carrying a pistol in Philly without a permit weather you are a convicted felon or not is a misdemeanor.  You might get probation.
