Does anyone have any experience with them? My son isn't doing well in school; he's a smart kid but is easily distracted and no threat, punishment or reward has worked. He's pleaded with us that he doesn't know why he can't concentrate and is always forgetting things. He really wants to do well but it seems like he isn't getting the attention he needs from the school, or something. We've heard some things about the cyber charter schools here in PA. He lives close to all his friends so he'll have plenty of social time after they get back from school. We're thinking that 7 years in the public school hasn't done a damn thing for him, maybe it's time to try something completely different with him, who knows, it might work. So he can't slip through the cracks like he can at a public school. And it looks like the local school district pays for it; it wouldn't cost us anything to try this except our time. Any firsthand experience with this type of education will be greatly appreciated. |

I dont have any experiance with Cyber School what so ever, but it sounds like your son has the same problem my brother has, he is one of the smartest people I personally know, but this just hangs over his head. Extremely smart kid but just cant concentrate. My brother has Attention Defecit Disorder. He takes Ritalin and it works very well with him. Now, i'm not saying that your son has the same problem, it just sounds like he has the same symptoms. Just something to think about. Scout |
