|
I went Saturday with Medic08, almost bought a lower reciever until he talked me out of it because the price was too high. Where are the good deals? Ohwell. Saw a nice Yugo AK underfolder for $479 thought about picking it up but talked myself out of it. I spent 6 bucks to get in. That's it. Erik |

I bought an S&W Mod. 686, stainless with 3" barrel. This was one of the run made for U.S. Customs (Coast Guard) in 1988. An older gentleman was walking around with a bag full of guns (literally) to trade for other guns. He was trying to show it to a dealer, but the dealer was too busy to speak to him just then. I invited him over to my table, and we made a deal. Meantime, nobody wanted a NIB BuckMark for $300 or an as new M1-A National Match everything for $1375. Go figure. That's the last show at Expo-Mart, by the way. Next time it will be up in Harmarville. |
I was there Saturday, between 12 and 1:30. I was looking for 5.56 ammo and found darn little. I've wanted to try some Q3131 since obtaining an AR and found a small stash @ $5.50/box. I was also looking for a sling but couldn't even find a used G.I. item. But, hey! I had my pick of Nazi books, buttons and baubles. That's what really makes a gunshow! |
I saw the M1a there and was in nice shape. It didn't appear to have the National Match hooded aperature? Did it? Were you looking for any trades? I would love to have it. |
Guy towards the back on the left side had 3131 for 245 a case. Not unreasonable when you see what it is going for (check Brillo's price list) |

I went Sunday. Got 1250 rounds of LC brass to start reloading, a new pocket knife and a few other goodies. Didn't really see any outstanding deals but it was still a good show. Rumor has it from a few of the dealers that that was the last show for Monroeville. The next show is supposed to be somewhere in Harmarville. Longhunter1757 |
Sorry guys, I swear the PCGA shows follow me! When I lived in Greensburg, I could literally walk across the street from my apartment to the shows at the mall. Then I moved to Monroeville. The show followed me, and I can see the mall from my apartment. Walking there is no big deal. Now, I am moving towards the Blawnox area and may end up in Harmarville. The freaking show is stalking me! |
yeah he had the British .223 ammo and South African .308 ammo which AIM surplus sells. It was still cheaper to order from AIM Surplus. I'm sure thats where he bought his from. |

I bought a gun and got delayed on the insta check |
| There were a few dealers selling lowers both stripped and complete. The cheapest we saw a stripped lower are a bushy for $215. Now that is just plain nuts. Bad part about it is people were buying them. I dunno maybe that isn't out of line for a Bushy but when RRA can be had locally for $155 who needs to spend that much on a bushmaster? I was looking for a FAL reciever and found one guy there willing to sell one for $450. As hard of a time as I am trying to find one I should have picked it up. Oh well. |
Excellent, I can avoid the turnpike. I'm a cheap bastard. |
No. It has the NM barrel, trigger, flash hider, but not the hooded rear sight. The rear sight is an adjustible peep. The only thing I would be interested in trading for is ammuntion. .30 carbine is what I really need. I will consider .45 acp or .223/5.56 as well, as I can always use those. |
