Ok where is the best place to get a gunsafe arund Philly?  And please don't say Dick's!  Been there done that and waited over 20 minutes for them to find the combo and someone that could open the safe I wanted!  They never did come back and didn't seem to be interested in making a high dollar sale!

So tell me where is a good place to go for one?  Does Tanner's carry safes?  I can't use a big one since it needs to fit through my old apartment's door.

Give me some leads here!

Oh and thanks ahead of time!

No Dunham's close to Philly that I know of.  I think the closest one is in Harrisburg.  I might just try locksmith's but prefer one setup for rifles inside.

Home Depot was carrying some small safes back during the summer.  Liberty Gun Safes has a store in Mount Laurel NJ  . There's Wilson Safe down by the Philly Airport .   I heard people here talk about Sams Club , if you feel like driving there's Cabela's in Hamburg .

Truck freight isn't as much as you may think.  Don't rule out the good ones.  Find a intarweb dealer that will drop ship.

I just bought a Liberty-GW Series from Liberty Safes of PA in Norristown.  (610-275-6101)

It is a beauty and Eric and Chris were both very good to work with throughout the process, even though I got a little irate at the end over a delivery scheduling problem that left me without a safe for three days after I sold the old one.  I got over it, although I think that a reduced shipping charge would have been appropriate to compensate for the extra day that I had to take off from work when they didn't make the first appointment.

The guys that delivered it made the move into the house look easy even though the safe weighs about 1500 pounds.  I was aprehensive about the weight but Eric assured me that the floor would hold it and suggested where my floor was strongest and ways to add support.

Liberty safes have a real good fire rating and if it ever gets damaged by fire or attempted break in it will be repaired for free for the lifetime of the safe.
