My son (17) and I took the M16, and my Remington Model 12 and his Remington Fieldmaster 572 pump action .22's out yesterday to a favorite unregulated range in Berks Co. (thanks Art!) Man, the weather was great! At 85 ft., we shot at cans, plastic bottles, 'spent shotgun shells, ..... we kept the target 'dancin with the .22's; a hit from the .223 would send it flying! We used 500 .22's and 200 .223's with alot of good shooting by both of us. ...... What a good day!...  FYI, The .223 did not penetrate the SECOND 1/4 " steel plate (back to back) at 50 feet. But almost!  |
