Guy at work bought his wife a pistol for Xmas, and is looking for a womens friendly class to give her the basics.
I know we have a couple of guys here who offer training, so thought I'd give an ARFCOM member the chance before he goes somewhere else. |

Independence training has a very good reputation, but they are way up by lake Pleasant.
Black wolf also has a good reputation but I think John is way out in Buckeye. The valley is a pretty damn big place. Might want to narrow down the location a bit. I might drive 2 hours for an all day intermediate or tactical course, no way would I want to go that far for an intro course. YMMV of course. |

"Her Handgun" is a female taught, female oriented training class conducted at Rio Salado.
The next class appears to be Sunday, January 29th. The January 7th class has been filled since this thread kicked off. My wife took this class in 2011, and recommends it highly. Further, they are having a large female focused shooting festival at the end of April. Link: http://herhandgun.com/schedule/ |
