Usually camp on the rim near woods canyon lake on a fireroad. Want to head up this weekend with some friends, but between the wives, there is a small list of must haves (other wife's first time):
Toilets Near a swim spot Able to have campfires Any ideas? Not sure if they can have all 3, so if not, then will camp up near fort Tuthill & take the kids down to slide rock or something for swimming. |

There ya go that was easy, now bust out the tent and go at it! The bucket thing is advanced outdoor potty for some people.. you still gotta start em off in campgrounds with vault or flush toilets. Sometimes its a mental block, sometimes it is being skeerd, and sometimes people are just REAL WIERD when it comes to bathrooming. I had a co-worker that would only go at home. her breaks and lunch she would go home if she had to or just held it. trying to convince her that hovering in the forest is more sanitary than her own bathroom was impossible LOL. |

The host keeps em super clean and there are 9 total sites a few with a nice view down to the creek. There is also hornton creek trailhead right there and if you walk up the road some good holes I've seen people swimming in. |

The Black Canyon Lake campground has 2 of the 3. And isn't that far from Black Canyon Lake. You may be able to swim there. But it is a really nice campground. My family has stayed up there 3 of the last 4 years. |
