How much is the going rate to have a muzzle device pinned and welded in the valley?  Preferred shops?

After checking around the local shops were way too expensive or too long of a wait.  I ended up sending it to ADCO,  if you send them just the barrel its $95 + shipping.  If you send the complete upper i think it was $145.  They have about a 1 week turn around.  Tons of good reviews on here,  also a site sponsor.

Kind of spendy for drilling hole, dropping in a pin and welding over the top.   I'd buy a shitty little welder and learn myself if I was spending that much.  Everyone's got a drill.  Don't even need a press.  Blind pin welding a hider ain't rocket science.

And anyone can do a job better than the Century Arms guys (I use them as the low bar standard).  If you've ever seen a Century Arms weld on say an AK hider, you'll know you can do better than that.  Just takes a couple of minutes of practice and a little youtube and you can do better than what those guys pump out.

I just realized I quoted the price for the barrel chop, rethread and pin and weld which is what i had done.  If you just need the pin and weld that's $30 through adco.

Try Jeff Covino at AZ Armory. He's done a couple for me. About what Adco charged without the hassle of shipping.
