SO - anyone on here going to the upcoming SAR show? I'll be there bring and early Friday morn as long as the I-17 South isn't shutdown from FLG. Looks like a small snow storm is going to hit wed/thurs and sunday timeframe. |
|
I've got 3 wall tables on the far side of the SAR building, just past that small electrical / maintenance "shed" that sits along the wall (towards the end where the outdoor bathrooms are). Selling USGI survival equipment and field gear (lots of MOLLE pouches). A few GI holsters, stoves, canteens, blah blah blah. Come by buy; see and feed The Bear! |

We will be there bright and early on Friday! |

We will be there bright and early on Friday! I could be --- and probably am --- way off of the admission fee. It's been 8 years since I was an 'attendee' (been a vendor since). But I do know there's always a lot of kicking & screaming at the vendor check in area when we have to pay our [separate] parking fee as well. Thieving bastards! `Scharf --- I appreciate the set up offer, but I'll be done by mid-afternoon on Thursday (gives me time to root around all the other vendors setting up). By the way, if you need/want the other components to what I gave you last year we can work out a great deal....just let me know if you're interested so that I'll bring them down with me. All new, USGI of course. |

$18 to get in (good for 3 days)
$7 for parking... EVERY DAY!! ($21 if you go all 3 days... RAPE!!!!!!!!) Possible $1 off if you wait in the BIG ASS line! So: MAX.: $39 or $38 with the DISCOUNT... BIG F'ing Wooop! So add $38 or $39 to your "good deal" to seee if it REALLY was a "great deal". YMMV |

The boss just picked up a table out in the tent. This will be my first time working a show as a vendor. I'll probably be running around Thursday evening or Friday morning trying to find someone who can do the Form 4473 for us. What ya selling... |

What ya selling... 3 16" rifles, a 14.5" carbine, and two pistol/SBR uppers if I can run around and find a couple mil-spec uppers to throw the 10.5" barrels into. Probably some assorted stocks and hand guards that are sitting around. A couple of my personal odds & ends (80% lower & upper, Taurus 1911, maybe my 16" mock dissy) I think we have one high cap 9mm that's not spoken for that I'll bring, but I'm doubting anyone will be shopping for a hand built $4k 2011 at this show. Oh yeah, DVDs… Lots of DVDs.. |

Any liquor stores with a good selection near the fairgrounds? I'd like to stock up on a few bottles of spiced Rum while I am down south. Any good breakfast places nearby too? Liquor just hit up a total wine, bevmo, or a Costco for best selection and prices. Mel's diner is just down the street on grand Ave. It was the location of some TV show before my time. |

Was cruising the SAR building today and the guys from Montana or somewhere close to there, brought a ton of pull down components (powder, primed cases, bullets) again this year. I picked up a couple 1k round bags of 180grn JHP 40/10 bullets for $80 per k.
off the top of my head they also had. 115grn and 124grn FMJ 9mm bullets were $80 per k. 45cal 230grn was $120 per K. primed 5.56 brass was $80 per k, may have to go back tomorrow for some of that.. They had 8lb jugs of pull down pistol powder, didn't get a price for that plus a lot of other stuff I didn't have time to look at.. they are located almost in the center of the SAR building.. |

What time does the show open? I have a lot of HW so I might go in the morning for a few hours and see if I can find a KAC FF Rail for a MK12 Mod 1 project and some 1911 stuff. Plus I like to see the cool autos in the SAR building My understanding is that it opens at 9am. |

I am in the process of building one right now. Was going see if anyone had a Caspian Recon Frame or any other parts I could get to start a inventory for when I am ready to start putting it together/ |
I went today. Inventory is plentiful. Lots of EBRs, mags etc. etc. Most ammo is also stacked high and the prices are not too crazy, except for .22LR which is still at "you must be smoking crack" scalper prices ($60 for a RGB 500 round bulk pack ). Reloading components are pretty available, with primers under $30/k. Be prepared to stand in line at the Miwall booth though.

Going tomorrow......I need to meet some fellow AR15ers....only meet one person on this site. I am taking a freind, she wants to get her first gun. what kind of gun she looking at? some kind of 22lr pistol She had never shot before and was kind of against guns. I asked her if she had ever held or shot a gun...of course no. So I convienced her to go shoot once and then if she had the same opinion fine. She has went 3 times now and is hooked. So she figured she would get one. |
