There used to be a place in Cave Creek, but I can't get them to answer the phone.  I can only assume they no longer sell firewood.
There's a place in Tempe, but that's hardly N.Phoenix

How much are you looking for? What kind?

The desert is full of dead mesquite.  For what you'll pay for a pickup bed full of firewood down here in AZ you can buy a chainsaw, cut your own, and still have the saw when it's all said and done.

Probably a truck bed or so don't know what kind. It's for my fireplace and pit.

Is it legal to roll out to the desert and do that? We do do that when out hunting or camping

Go talk to a rancher.  Money says you ask if you can cut some dead mesquite and shoot some yotes he'll buy you a cup of coffee....

Just make sure it's dead and on the ground and you should be good.
