These guys just can't catch a break.

On the other side of the coin... didn't they just get new management? Inside job anyone?

From the video, it looks like the front door was unlocked.

Um, yeah. Pried the door open? Not likely. I work in the commercial side of construction and to "pry" open that type of front door would leave significant signs of damage that would be visible from across the street. Damage like shattered glass, bent frames, etc. Unless they used a cordless sawzall/grinder to cut the latch of the deadbolt, there is no way that front door was pried open, unless the installers were total crackheads Then again, we all know how the media can fuck things up in their reporting to sensationalize a story.

Looks like someone's looking for a new security guard now.

I wounder about that white truck. I used to live by the shop and it seems like old management/ownership always had a white pickup out there. Not accusing, but the things that make you go hum...

Front door was indeed pried open, it wouldn't shut or lock after wards, I had to stand there after already being up for 18, for another 12 hours standing guard over a door that would open if you used your pinky finger.

So yes the door was damaged.  The lock was bent, the door frame was ripped apart were the lock was, and both doors are now bowed, although this worked out for the best as the door had enough bow placed in it to add steel reinforcing wraps around the lockset.

AS of the other day when I spoke with the lead agent, all prior employees had been ruled out for any participation, and almost all had been cleared as directing participants. And if you are going to accuse me next, then please explain what great motive I have to steal my own property, and if you try insurance payoff, let me tell you, it isn't that, every rifle stolen was a good seller at a good price, now all the crap left over, not so much.

And the reason you concluded the door was open, is because you saw only part of the footage from the cameras, the actual opening of the door for the first time wasn't part of it.  In addition at the time, the camers were set to motion capture, this worked fine during test trials but now has been changed because it obviously didn't work as well when it mattered.  The full video tells a better story, however it  is not available for release.

As for the white truck the old owner drives, he came to the scene in it, with the giant c3 arms window wrap still on the rear window, and of course it is a 4x4, which stands almost 1.5 feet taller than the one in the video.

And Fyi, someone else can do better research to verify this, but while doing a internet search to find a released version of the video to show someone earlier today, I came across what looks like many valley gunshops have been broken into in the past years, and a good percentage, (3/4 maybe), seem to have this problem while under  suspended operations by the ATF, just like we are. In this comment I am not directing any implication towards ATF, but the fact that a business is lying dormant, seems to have a motivating factor.

On the up side for any one reading this that is a customer, I have reason to believe that the amended FFL should be arriving this week, and we should be open again soon, feel free to request notification of opening by emailing [email protected].

Now if anyone see's any of these guns, can you please call someone.....

Sucks about the theft though.  Will keep my eyes peeled for the serial #'s if I'm out buying anything.

I hate to say it but those doors should have been way more secure than that by design. The length of throw of the bolts should have made it so that in order to deflect the frame enough to get the door open, would require extreme force and would have shattered the glass setting off your glass alarm giving responders a little more jump prior to the thieves gaining entry. Not to mention that loud of a pop might have scared them off.

I totally agree with everything said, worse yet, just 300 some feet away was a highly active parking lot for a hookah lounge....even though the siren was load enough to hear from the street, and equal distance away.

I arrived roughly 5 mins after the alarm went off, and there were 20 people over there standing around that had a slight line to the front of the shop, and do you think any of them saw anything?

Hopefully I will hear back from my agent this week and share more details regarding the break-in.

Anyways on to some postive news , I wanted to post the information that our new FFL is set to arrive, and we will be open for business come Friday.  Extended hours of operation for Friday 10AM-6:30pm, and saturday 10AM-6pm to help get out all the transfers we have been holding/collecting.
