On 05/15/2013 my wife was officailly diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). We are maintaining production, and adjusting processes in order to still deliver the best product out there in an abbreviated time. However, we do ask that you understand emails may take a little longer to reply to and the phone will often not be answered while we learn and adjust to a new "normal." Our "web presence" will also be diminished for awhile. We (Mrs.TCB and I) are dedicated to fighting through this and carving out the life we want, not just what was dealt. Thank you for your understanding at this time.
Please keep Mrs.TCB in your thoughts as she begins her battle.

Sorry to hear brother. Please pass along my encouragement to the Mrs. Thoughts and prayers to you guys. Seek physical therapy if you haven't already.

thank you all. So far the support from the shooting and MS community has been amazing. It has brought me to tears more than once. In the grand scheme, this diagnosis sucks, but it is NOT terminal nor a debilitating disease and for that i am thankful beyond words. Sure there will be bumps on our future paths but that can be said for everyone. My family is full of fighters and my wife is no different. She is remaining positive and ready for the fight. If we cannot beat the disease(which is currently not an option), it will know it has been in a fight.
Those that know me know that mindset is a building block to everything i believe. We have broken out the books that give us strength and renewed our commitment of "richer or poorer, sickness and health" to each other. With the amazing support of friends, family and customers we are set to give this a run. My sister said it best..."There's a reason the MS color is the same as Tough Mudders." so in February my wife with MS will be running with the "Mudder Dogs" at Tough Mudder, so you all have 9 months to get ready, or be out manned by a girl with MS. UPDATE...sort of....
After 11ty Billion tests the MS is 100% confirmed and symptom treatments have begun. Treatment of the actual MS will take about another 4 weeks to start. (Yeah insurance, FML... the "confirmation" and "approval" process is FUCKED) Some of the dizzy spells and tingling has started to reduce. So that is GREAT, final MS confirmation is done through a "spinal tap"...well the also discovered she has a form of spinal meningitis. 
Beaten up, but not broken by the news. Thank you so much for all the well wishes and prayers. Don't know if they are working but right now I will take any edge we can get |
