does anyone know of a site that takes pre orders for ammo?

i dont mind paying "normal" prices now and then waiting my turn to get the ammo. better than wasting gas driving to stores looking around.

I doubt you're going to find anyone willing to sell you ammo at "regular" prices with no idea of when they will get it and what their cost may be at the time.

Brownells/Sinclairs does occasionally. You need to jump on the pre-order bandwagon as soon as something is able to be back ordered though.

I snagged some 9mm through Midway's notification system.  If you have a smart phone and get email notifications, you'll get it as soon as its in stock.  You gotta act fast though, I once waited 40 minutes while dealing with a card issue and it was gone.

I was in Sportsman WareHouse this AM around 1030 (Mesa) and a store employee wheeled out 3 shopping carts full of 9mm, .40, Fed 5.56, and Rem .223, PMC .223

Yeah, I talked to the guys at Sportsman's Warehouse in Mesa, they hold the ammo and sell it Saturday mornings so they have the extra staff to deal with the crowd. He said get there before they open because there is a LONG line.

Reloading supplies they still put out on Friday morning because there's not as big a rush.

I'll probably be there next Friday. I need supplies to test the reloader I got for christmas.
