Anyone ever train with them? Just looking to get some opinions, although I am sur they will be GTG.

| I've never trained with them, but met their lead firearms instructor when I visited their range with my brother who was helping out with a med class they did last year. They're instructors have experienced backgrounds in the Marine Corps, maritime PSC, and some time teaching for McMillan too. They certainly know long guns and are able to convey the material well from what I saw. Craig Sawyer was stalking around although I don't know if he ended up teaching or was just doing some contract work for them. I haven't seen much about them on the "net" but they're fairly new and their industry ties give them a lot of weapons an accessories for students to use. If you attend a course I'd be curious to read an AAR. |
| Cool, signing up for their intermediate pistol course at the end of April. I wanted to take their advanced course, but its not on the schedule for my time frame, so I decided to take the intermediate course so I can some rounds through this M&P9 that I just picked up. I'll post a good AAR when I am done there. I had spoken to some other instructors that I know on the LE and the Mil side, and they have nothing but good things to say about STA. |
