Wife and I both wrote him, both got the same response. Dear Mr. Thank you for expressing your thoughts on increased gun control measures. I appreciate hearing from you on this important matter. As I have stated publicly through the years, I feel it is vital to use all available means to reduce the violence that plagues our nation. I have consistently supported reasonable gun limitations such as a ban on assault weapons, a waiting period before purchase, and background checks on all purchasers. In essence, I support limited, effective controls, while supporting the rights of those responsible, law-abiding citizens who wish to own and purchase firearms. Unfortunately, the mass tragedies involving gun violence in Arizona, Colorado, and Wisconsin, as well as the most recent horrific act that occurred in Newtown, Connecticut, have returned this discussion to the forefront of our nation's consciousness. It is imperative that all Americans work together to effectively address the shortcomings in our social, judicial, and healthcare systems that would limit future gun violence. The status quo is not acceptable, and neither is taking a piecemeal approach that addresses one aspect of gun violence but leaves another intact. Within that context, I look forward to the recommendations of Vice President Biden's inter-agency gun violence task force and to any proposals to be issued in the 113th Congress that make a real, responsible, balanced effort to reduce gun violence throughout America. It was good to hear from you on this matter. I look forward to Ed choking on a bag of dog dicks. |

Liberalism is all about making an effort with good intentions and NEVER about the ass backwards consequences that ALWAYS results from their "balanced efforts." It's gonna get bad. |

My blood boils when they describe taking something from me as balanced , reasonable of even worse a compromise since they didn't take as much as they wanted. I seriously don't think I could talk to one of these people in person. Im a pretty calm and rational person but I might just fucking lose it if they said that to my face. |

For those of you in Pastor's district, please re-read his letter and note the number of times he uses the word "I" in it. Please be advised, and please advise the ever worthless Pastor (and every other elected official for that matter) that this is not about their opinions, but rather it is their job to represent the vote and will of those they represent.
All of these jack-wagons that we send to Washington, come back corrupt and full of their own self-serving desires to extend their time in office. The POS Jeff Flake that we were stuck with was no better -- and now he moved into the Senate and is still a self serving POS. Unfortunately, sitting on your hands and letting the NRA / GOA / AZCDL fight this battle for us is not going to fly this time. Each and everyone of us is going to need to write, Email and call their representatives --- and be demanding and direct. And when calling, demand, demand, demand to speak to them directly. It may take time to be able to speak to them, but do not allow their admins to put you on a "FOR" or "AGAINST" list that they say they will pass on to the representative ---- that's BS. |

Keep writing him and others. Probably get the same response but you gotta flood their incoming messages and make it apparent that he will be held accountable and what they majority wants or at least a small number are very opposed. Leave phone calls to his office too. This is how the minority has gained so much.
Add in times when responsible gun owners have done good and also state your distrust of the VP and his task force. Inquire who is on this task force as well. I haven't seen that list yet but I suspect it's biased and point that out too. |
