If this violates any of the AR15.com policies I apologize in advance and will remove it. My goal is to get a person who has firearms knowledge to help run our club. The Phoenix Rod and Gun club has improved so much in the last couple years and we want to keep improving for all of our shooters.
Phoenix Rod and Club Gun is looking for a full time, permanent Range Master. Duties will include but not limited to: Read, interpret and explain to others the rules and regulations governing the range operations and usage Maintain calendar of scheduled events for all ranges including Point of Contact and scheduler for outside agencies and vendors Follow verbal and written instructions Ability to compile and maintain accurate records. Ability to operate a personal computer and the use of standard software applications. Ability to understand and carry out instructions and to complete work assignments correctly, with limited supervision. Be familiar with the operation of a variety of firearms. Detect safety hazards on the range and take appropriate action Please email your resume to [email protected] |
| You'd be better off, if long term employment is your goal, to apply for a job at Circle K rather than PRGC. They go through rangemasters like most people change socks. The pay would be about $22,000 per year. I understand the next rangemaster hired will be required to live in a tiny, dilapidated house trailer on the premises, with rent deducted from the figure in the previous sentence. No benefits, constant wars with the board of directors, and no life. Is that your idea of a dream job? I thought not. |

Just mho. Great first post btw. |

Quoted: Oh yea I'm sure someone would take that offer, just not the kind of guy you would want as a range master. You would end up getting the typical range guy, the kind of guy that tries to open the bolt on your AK and ends up dropping it on the ground and breaking your optics. What about a Retired military vet who loves firearms and would want to keep the range open as his legacy?
But, there must be improvements made. For example the classroom is the worst facility Mas Ayoob comes to. I sponsor him in Sierra Vista and will soon move to Tucson and the ranges are first rate. |
