Sad to hear.  Didn't see it posted here, and just found it doing an internet search on the man.  Didn't know him, but he died much too young.  We can only wonder how much the stress of his ordeal contributed to his early demise.

He could heve left and saved himself the greef ,but he stayed and toughed it out . No doubt that took years off his life ,the stress must have been terrible . RIP Harold Fish an honest brave man .

That sucks. I refer to him often. Brave man with shitty counsel.

He lost it all and ended up improving Arizona. A good man for that, he was.

Wonder if his family could file a wrongful death suit based on the stress induced by the legal system and incarceration for a wrongful conviction.

Wasn't a wrongful conviction. He was "guilty" of the crime at the time with the laws on the books. Jury was too stupid to know better but whatever. He got that changed through his bravery.

Cannot sue the courts. Immunity and all.

Any way you look at it he got a raw deal for doing the right thing .
