So I bought an 80% lower from Ares Armor in Oceanside when I was stationed out there and didn't get a chance to attend one of their build parties to have it completed before moving out to Phoenix. Does anyone know of any machinists or shops in the Phoenix area that can help with finishing my 80% lower. I'd rather not have to go through the hassle of using a drill press if at all possible.

If push comes to shove I'll just make a weekend trip with the family and head out to San Diego. I'm in no rush to finish it.

For those that aren't familiar with the program at Ares Armor, basically you'd buy a 80% lower, show up on a Sunday, go over to a local machine shop, pay a fee and press a button and presto you have a brand new unserialized lower w/o ffl transfer; completely and legally off the books because it was made for "personal use"

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Good luck with that.  The fine for a shop finishing a "unregistered" receiver is pretty steep.  80%ers are for the end user to finish.
