Demand a Plan.org

Survivors of the Tucson shooting.  Just saw a commercial this morning.  They are saying 48,000 deaths due to firearms over the next term.  Quote "That's 3 Aurora shootings every day"  Not true, it's less than 3 (2.7), I did the math.

How about people alert authorities when people are acting extremely strange.  What a concept

Yeah, I saw this ad running on the Fox morning show while I was making breakfast.  It really sent my blood pressure soaring early in the morning.

Its always about the inanimate objects involved––––not the freakin nutcases that actually do the harm.

The commercial was funny in that it doesn't say what they want...other than a "plan" of sorts. Doesn't advocate for gun control, people control, right to carry, mental health screenings etc, etc. Theres always a National Right to Carry...thats a plan...right? Nothing like being pandered about in front of the cameras for the delight of the Democrats.

Unfortunately they fail to mention most of these shootings are gang related,  which doesn't count..

Suicides and justifiable self defense shootings get bundled in to their numbers as well.

In 2008, over 616,000 people died of heart disease. Heart disease caused almost 25% of deaths—almost one in every four—in the United States.1

Better outlaw cheese burgers first. This number is way higher according to normal math. 604,000 per year higher.
Thats alot more people.

Should read 2.4 million people will die from being unhealthy over the next presidents term.  Step forward to end Mc Donalds.

Don't worry, the asshats will be banning our food soon too.  It's already happening in place like NYC.  Land of the free.  Yeah right.

Very true.  As someone in the medical field, I see know and see this all to often.  The greatest epidemic is from chronic health conditions.  Talk about senseless deaths.  The astronomical cost of medical care and the time spent getting care.  Many times very preventable and curable with diet and exercise.

ETA - Ending McDonald's is the same kind of solution as banning firearms.  It is the person themselves responsible.
