What are they going nuts about? Guns coming to life on their own and shooting up people. Don't even ask, logic is not allowed in this argument. I lived with my inlaws in a liberal household throughout the 08 elections, I feel your pain... Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Take as much advantage of this as you can. Only advantage is wife is willing to split it with me, so I pay 1/2 and 'we' pay 1/2 ! lol ! Beats nothing, more money for guns and I can put em there without ever showing it to her! Knowing her, she'll never look in it either !! Yes, its wishful thinking, pretty soon the safe will be filled with her stuff and my guns will be taking up too much space! Sigh... |

I bought a Liberty safe in 1999. A couple of months ago I needed some touch up paint so I called their customer service department with the serial number and credit card in hand. They shipped it to me within a couple of days and didn't take a penny from me. It's a great product from a great company. |

Title says it all - MIL/Wife everyone going nuts, need a gun safe. Any recommended sellers ? Liberty does make a pretty good safe for the money, I love mine I just wish it were bigger. Fort Knox also makes a fine safe but they are a bit more expensive, I have one of their pistol safes and the thing is a dam tank at 25#. |

ETA: Also, OP, The Safe Store on 35th Ave and Indian School has a good selection of Liberty safes among quite a few others. It's also right around the corner from Shooters World which has an indoor range and lots of gear. |

Thank you all for your time and kind replies. I think I will get a champion safe from AZ safe outlet. Near where I live - I dont have a truck so delivery alone would make safe city impossible. Thank you all again. Safe city will deliver and install. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Reminder to be sure and anchor it to the slab when you get it. Preferably in a corner where the opening side is against a wall, this makes it harder to pry it open since the thief can't get a long pry bar in there. I have a post tension slab (?) so I was told it cannot be drilled. Any other suggestions to secure it. This is going in my garage since I really have no other place to stick it ! Again, thank you. |

Have it glued down. You won't ever be able to move it, but if you can't drill it's your best option. |

Safe City is your best bet. You can find better "deals" at retailers like Sportsman's but you won't get the same quality safes. This, talk w/ Jesse at Safe City. I bought a Summit as it had a slightly better fire rating than the Liberty. Some safe places the price includes delivery to the curb, Jesse's price includes delivering it inside where you want it. |

Call a concrete scanning company and have them scan the slab. They will find exactly where your cables are. |
| In all honesty even if you hit a cable as long as its not within the first 4-5 feet of the edge nothing is going to happen but you can go outside and look at where the cables are and measure it out usually. If you dont want to do that drill the back and put in lag bolts that are in the studs of walls. From first hand experience I can tell you securing it to wall or floor is the single most important aspect of a safe. |
