About two months ago, the fan motor on my 3.5T ground compressor unit went out. Yesterday, the capacitor on my 3T unit went. A tech came out and replaced the capacitor with two new ones. I had noticed for a couple of weeks that the running sound on the latter unit had changed. The tech said it was the compressor. So, at some point, it is going to go. Tech said it would be best to replace the whole unit when it goes rather than repairing/replacing just the compressor. The two units are 8 years old (Puron).
I'm requesting opinions on brands, efficiency, quietness or anything else thought appropriate. |
