A while back we had a pest control thread where someone linked a product for scorpion use.  If anybody recalls, please point me in the right direction.

Been using it on my property since I moved in and I have never seen a scorpion, tick, or any other critter.

I use same.  same results.  all creepy crawlers die.  awesome on ant colonies.

again... can we tack this please?

Can you get this at Bug and Weed, or the big box stores?

Thank you. The packaging is different from what I recall.

Seconded.

Probably the most important thing I learned after moving to AZ was  Cyper WP from this HTF. I'm not sure it kills scorpions (never seen one on my property) but it DOES annihilate their food source like those fucking crickets. Only seen maybe 2 dead crickets in the house since and don't hear ANY outside (which is a HUGE relief). I've had one live cricket somehow make it into a wall socket which I had to take apart and soak in poison to kill it.

ETA: Dunno on local source, I amazon'd it.

ETA2: Oh and it's killed two fucking camel spiders. One was DRT, the other was dying (day after I sprayed) and landed on my head from the garage door. Let's just say that one freaked me the fuck out. Bastards!

This stuff kills everything alive that isn't a plant or a mammal.  That's really all I can say.  Centipedes, scorpions, spiders, ants, roaches.  Four, six, eight, ten, twenty, one hundred legs... they all die.

Just buy it and laugh when you see Truly Nolen parked at your neighbor's house.  A tub if this stuff will last you at least a year, and that's if you apply it twice a month (overkill usually).

I mix it with weed spray and just coat the entire yard.  Everything undesirable dies at one time.

Ummm, I would have had a coronary. Arachnids are the spawn of satan.

I keep laughing because somehow I have ants in the kitchen. Small red ones, and only a few at a time. I cannot for the life of me figure out where they come from. I've sprayed 3 times in various areas with an indoor spray because it's around food and my kitteh.

Now there's about six. I'm quitting the subtle tactics and bringing out the WP. Fuck these motherfuckers.

I keep hearing Archer's voice too.

Once dry, its safe around pets and children.

According to the label.

YMMV.

This is my concern....with two puppies and a 5 y/o, I'm....nervous...about using it.  So far so good with the Ortho Max at $5 per container at Wal Mart.  Everything I see is dying.  Had one scorpion make it in a week ago and he couldn't even move.

This also works very well, though it's listed for industrial use only and I mix it at double the recommended strength

ETA:  Same active ingredient as Cyper WP at slightly less concentration (Cypermethrin 26%) but mixing double strength solves that

The best part is that you can walk into any Home Depot and grab a bottle for under 8 bucks.  Only place I've ever been able to get Cyper WP is via mail order, but if you're looking to maximize treatments/cost then ordering a pound of Cyper WP is more cost effective in the long run.

Same, works very well. CyKick + broadcast granules seems to keep a yard bug-free.

I know... the other concern it is my food preparation area. Kitchen counters. The only thing I can figure is they're coming in from behind the counter. If it was my place I would have half the mind to rip the counter out just to find the fuckers. Alas, I'll have to spray carefully along the edges.

There's no food out, let's say I rinse a cup but don't wash it right away. A couple ants will appear but there's no sign of WHERE they came from and I rinsed the thing so how in the world are they smelling that? I could understand if I was a pig or if I saw freaking trail of ants. I almost wonder if they come from the drain?

Who knows, I'm about to mix up some Cyper in a minute.

Ants will eat one of two things, sugars or fats.  I've had the suger eaters.  Mix up a small solution of sugar and boric acid and dissolve in water, pour into a small container (I used a small jar lid), and place where the ants can get it.  Add water as it evaporates.  The ants will carry the mixture back to the nest and after a couple of days will be gone.  If the ants like fats, replace sugar with peanut butter.

Will any of this shit kill roaches? Not the sewer-dumptster-shithole variety but the dark red garden ones that go after water? We have a few fruit, vegetable and flower gardens and get them all the time.  My wife hates them, the shit the bug man uses seems to get the ones that go on the patio, but I want to erradicate these fuckers.  I do have oets and a 5 year old though, but am willing to soak the yard if it will work.

Cyper is rated for roaches yes.
