Tannerite only gets really cool at about two pounds and up. I had an experience with some Phoenix PD a while ago. They were unsure of the legality so they called their supervisor or desk sergeant or whatever. We had to wait a minute while they looked it all up but when they got their answer everything was copacetic. I'll bet the guys in the OP were told they couldn't shoot and therefore could not dispose of the already mixed tannerite. |

From that thread, the EOD guy claimed it was illegal under the fireworks law. That was several years ago. Under the new fireworks law, it looks to me like tannerite is legal again. ARS 36-1601 In this article, unless the context otherwise requires:
