Did a little drinkin' tonight that took me down memory lane.
Any of ya'll ever get a Ladmo bag? I always wanted one but never got to attend the show. Also, Dr. Demento... what station? I know it wasn't 98 kUpd, Dave Pratt wouldn't have anything to do with that amirite? Elliot and Ellsworth? Yeah used to throw keggers there when it was desert. Usury Pass, no fire zone now right? F16s were fun to watch at Williams AFB. And damn those Dobson girls where the best |

My wife got a Ladmo bag when she was on the show with her girl scout troop. She still has it too.
How about Bruce Kelly on KZZP. Y95? Lionels Playworld. When movie theaters used to serve nachos with the pumped on cheese. The Bear Cover skate boarding shop on Alma School and Southern. The Tri City mall. Back when going to Skateland was cool. Fuzzy porn on Dimension Cable. |
| My sister got a Ladmo bag,I never got to go.I was in 2'nd grade when the show ended.I grew up on the north side of town,I recall a lot of neighborhoods with dirt roads and anything north of Bell rd was still desert.Dave Pratt was big,Z-rock,mom and pop video stores,Putt's arcade,Jerry Foster from channel 10 and so on.A lot has changed. |

Never went on Wallace & Ladmo, but I had a Ladmo Tshirt. With the tie. Close enought?
Met Pat McMahon once, as a 5th grader. He was funny, then. Sorta like Chevy Chase. Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor. Metro Center Ice Skating, before they covered it over. El Cid bowling alley, on 19th & Cactus? Thunderbird? Legend City. The Pop Palace, on Indian School. Turned into a skating rink, IIRC. Then all kinds of things, since then. I think it's a furniture store, now. Thrifty's Ice Cream. Yellow Front stores. Reversible Lanes on 7th Ave & & 7th Street. KTAR East Side/West Side traffic planes, with Detour Dan Beach. Len Ingerbritson? Dewey Hopper on Channel 12. (Had a button, for a while, that said "I've been Hopperized" - picture of a frog on it.) |

Fuzzy porn on Dimension Cable. Remember 'em all. Anyone remember the basement arcade and movie theater at Los Arcos mall? Bought my first real skateboard from the Bare Cover - a blue Tony Hawk with Tracker Ultra-Lites and bright green Slimeballs. I miss the T-37s and T-38s flying out of Willie all day long. |

Dirt biking across the street from Legend City (now SRP HQ).
Phoenix Giants games. Bought my 1st S&W 686 at the Smittys on 43d ave @ Mcdowell, they had Colt ARs for ~$500 iirc. I thought - "who in the hell would spend that much for that thing?" Little did I know... I'd buy a Ladmo T right now if they were available. |

Quoted: I was coaching at Bourgade during the 70's my kids grew up with Wallace and Ladmo. Nooooooo, Catholic school girls were the 'schllitz'. I went to Antelope & played Bourgade in 88 & 89. I remember Ladmo bags. I remember when 238 between Maricopa & Gila Bend was dirt. I remember when I was in college we could hunt dove across from the Portland Cement plant near Marana. Now that area IS Marana. Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor. The Safari Inn in Scottsdale Sambo's resturants. I remember MG shoots at SP Crater north of Flagstaff. |
|
Suns games at the Madhouse on McDowell.
I loved the Phoexix Giants and Rocky Bridges...That was a tough dude. Sun Devil Stadium when it was just the lower horseshoe with all those turnstiles out front. Skaggs stores. I remember when the Devils use to dress in old Goodwin Stadium, just north of Apache Blvd, and bus to SDS. OR...Remember that SO FINE, sweet smelling young lady that was your very first love. Damn, I fell hard... Remember Fort Grant...wait...never mind about that.

| Wow you guys are bringing back some memories! Never got a Ladmo bag, much to my disappointment. Born in 73 so I recall all this stuff very well. Anybody else feel like today sucks in comparison? I mean there is nothing to do anymore like in the 80's. Anybody else remember the big Laser Tag place over by the Salt River in Tempe? |

What about Golf Land, that was pretty awesome, arcade inside the castle. Fiesta Mall. Forgot the bank, but it was the land mark to know where you were in Mesa, blue lighting outlined it, BoA? |

When I moved to Cali people would always look at me like I was speaking exotic tongues when I'd ask them for their cross streets haha WWF on channel 45 |

Golf Land is still there in Mesa. Just took the girlfriend's kids there not long ago for one of their birthdays. Fiesta Mall, the height of cool hangout places in the 80's, is now a pit IMO. I think that is indeed the BofA building (or used to be). It is still outlined in blue neon - that was a huge deal when it went up, idiots saying it kept them awake at night, etc. ![]() |

Gar Heard lived down the street from me (16th St./Bethany Home Rd area). One Halloween he threw candy into our bags from free throw range. For the record: I won a Ladmo bag at a school event. Friday night Metro Center "broom hockey" (read: lightly disguised fight). |
| Lived around 35th ave and Van Buren, Nibs market with the big bell, JimmyJacks five burgers for $1.00 and Arkies auto parts who had a good speed parts area. Christown mall so cool, and a new big ass mall just opened call Metro-center. You could hear the cars running at manzie at night. You never ran from a cop back then because you knew he woud beat your ass when he got ahold of you. |

Quoted: On another note. How about Fred Rated for Federated electronics superstores. ![]() I remember going to buy the original Nintendo Entertainment System at Federated way back when...then playing Duck Hunt and the motocross game for weeks on end |
