I will be taking a new job in Nogales, AZ in late February.

I will be spending a month in Nogales before I leave for a for a few months and am looking for a place to stay in Nogales for that time period such as hotels, extended stays, or maybe a short term apartment. I appreciate any advice on good places to stay.

I am also looking for a long term place to stay north of Nogales such as in Green Valley, Sahuarita, Tubac, etc that would alllow me to commute to Nogales every day. If you guys have any information on cities that you prefer I would love to hear it. I am a young single male so I am not worried about schools or other family amenities.

Thanks for the help Arfcom.

You're saying Nogales so many times it's making me want to throw up. Lived there 18 years... Don't recommend it.

For your short term situation I think Grant Properties would be you best bet.  They are the only property management conpany in the area that I know of.  For your long term I would look further north.  If renting Tubac is a good area.  If you're looking to buy Sahuarita is full of homes for sale at rock bottom prices.  Alot of guys that live in Sahuarita carpool into to Nogales for work. if your new job is w/ BP you should have no problem getting into a carpool if you wish.

I grew up in Rio Rico and that was ok, only 15 minutes north and a lot cleaner and less crowded. I wouldn't recommend staying in Nogales itself. I like Sahuarita much more, even though the commute would be about 30-40 minutes.

My son lived in Nogales at apartments across the street from the Large Safeway shopping center, and it actually wasn't bad.  But, I would live in Patagonia, Rio Rico, or Tubac.
He, actually lived with us for a few months in Sierra Vista and comutted every day after his apartment lease was up and he knew he was changing jobs.

Transferring from Orlando to Nogales, AZ for my job with CBP in a couple of months; gonna move to either Green Valley or Sahuarita. Spent the last two months on a TDY there and stayed at the Candlewood off Mariposa. I agree with the sentiment of commuting - not much in Nogales to begin with, you're better off staying in the two places i mentioned.

OP, you gonna go work with us?

Hehe; I knew it. I was out there for a TDY from my port. You probably saw me there working outbound at DiConcini (Grand Ave.). I am swapping out with an officer and making Nogales my next assignment. Glad to have you aboard. Hit my IM, so I can send you my private email and we can chat.

Hey guys look for the free advanced training from Gator Farms at Ft. Huachuca or the S V range.  Check with ICE officers at Douglas for a AAR.
