Why are the ac units mounted on rooftops?
Why does the tap water taste like dirt? |

Quoted: Is there a connection between rizzo and a goat? Not that I'm aware of. I would hope not, but people are into some weird shit. I'm not here to judge. Anyway, the goat thing was from back home. I used to belong to a fishing club. If you wanted in, you went to a meeting, paid your dues, and they stood you up in front of everybody and introduced you. No big deal, welcome to the club. Well, my old man and his buddies convinced one guy there was an initiation. They told him he'd have to put a bag on his head and ride a goat, right there in the meeting hall in front of everybody. This guy brings a bag, and has it in hand, standing in front of everybody waiting for them to bring it out. Of course, there was no goat, so it was just a fun little haze. I wouldn't mind doing it for real as an initiation for new members. We do a bro campout every six months and somebody rural brings a goat and the new guys take turns riding it and we post the carnage on GD.

Easy_E demonstrates all the bro shit. we tell him he doesnt have to but he is always the first volunteer....

My a/c unit is mounted on a roughly 4x4 concrete slab alongside my house.
Drink rum, water is for pussies.
Any more questions? Welcome to the greatest state, pay Rizzo your ammo tax to make it official and stop by J&G and STG while you're in his area. You need more guns anyway. (you know it's true)

The water taste BAD, in TX it really did taste like dirt, like you just scooped a glass up from the reservoir.. We got a berkey filter and have had great water ever since (A few years) another positive is when you get those little letters from the water company telling you about how they found pollution in the water a week or month ago.. you know you most likely filtered it out if it came through your tap. |

Tap water tastes fine to me here. I had to haul water to my place in Apache Junction for past 10 years. I had an AC unit on top of my house, never a swamp. It was expensive to run, so I put in window units which work great =).
Initiation should be you have to eat a big bowl of CouchCommando's Elk chili

Water in AZ contains a high amount of Calcium, Iron, and some Zinc. Many of the cities also add Florid to the water supplies in an effort to poison us slowly.
Your water heater will die here faster as a result, the minerals build up on the heat coil and they burn out. Water softener is a must. AC units are mounted on the roofs because back in the 80's people didn't have a clue? -AOS |

The tap water contains 1000% of the daily vitamins and minerals your body needs. It's good for you. Drink up. ![]() Enough minerals to give you kidney stones the size of softballs in about a week.
In the older areas you'll see some condensors on roofs from being retrofitted where a swamp cooler was, but the majority of roof mounted systems are going to be swamp coolers. |

Water always tastes awful from the tap. I find a filtered water shop near me at $0.35/gal is well worth it. ~Water tower places are just tap water from a fancy spigot. AC units on the roof make life that much more exciting. Especially in the summer when your AC won't turn on. |
| Most AC units are mounted on roofs because we dont have basements to put the airhandlers. You can get a split system but you would have to put the airhandler in the attic or in a closet. Its also alot easier and quicker to drop a packaged unit on a roof then to connect a condensor and evap. Water tastes like crap because of the dissolved soilds. You need a softener and RO filter. |

Hi new guy here.....
Heat pumps are mounted on the roof in the south due to "Cold air falling", other parts of the country where heat is used most often run them through the floor cause "heat rises". Sure there is a more scientific way of explaining it, but I have not read an HVACR school book in over 10 years......... Mind is slipping some LOL |
