Unfortunately, most of the pigs are going to be near the river, which is part of the Wildlife Refuge. You can't hunt hogs on the refuge. You'd have to find one in nearly the same place as the one in the article, and more than a quarter mile from a house. I know several people that have seen them near the roads that parallel the river, south of Fort Mohave, but not in a hunting area. I don't know why they're so opposed to hunting hogs in the refuge, you can hunt rabbits and birds. |

I'm in. I'll do a little research, make sure there are actually pigs there - now who wants to plan a trip? It's Fo Time! Hell yeah, I'm thinking 30 round P-Mags filled with some 75gr hollow points! From what I've heard hose things can be dam hard to kill and mean so maybe I'll bring a shotgun with slugs instead. Who wants bacon?

Either way I can hunt rabbits with my AR and it was coming right for me. |

http://www.fws.gov/southwest/refuges/arizona/havasu/faqs.html#hunthogs I was discussing this today with someone at work. He said he thought they used to allow hog hunting like 20 years ago. Apparently somebody started shooting into the brush at every sound and the managers thought someone would get killed/injured and that's why it was stopped. How accurate this is I don't know. |

Who wants bacon? ![]() Ive seen a pig soak up several 454 casull rounds and keep going till the last round that put it down a 45-70 to the neck. then other times ive personally had big pigs drop in there tracks from a single .223 placed behind the ear. its comes down to shot placement even the toughest of beasts have a weak spot. |

As you mentioned in your first post, it's a no go. I'm crushed, I have a FAL and G3 clone itchin' to kill a critter. |
If you guys make a trip please send me an e-mail and I'll go.
