| Looking for 30 cal and 50 cal cans, maybe a bulk purchase if the price is right. |

Quoted: Shootersworld has them, Allied Surplus also has them, and Sportsmans has the new plastic ones. But what are their prices like? I've yet to find a surplus store that is reasonable. Dillon usually has .30 cal cans for reloaders for $5 ea. which is decent. OP, while I hesitate to tell anybody to spend the money to go to the crossroads gun show, it's usually the best place to stock up on cans - there's usually a guy or two there (only the show at the state fairgrounds) with a truckload of .50 cal cans, freshly painted with new seals for $6 or $7 per .50 cal can. The guy I last bought from would also cut a deal on the purchase of 10 or more cans, so it may be worth it to try that if you can stomach the admission fee and parking fee. Last time I went to Freedom Surplus out in Mesa, I think they wanted 15-18 bucks for a single .50 cal ![]() |

Quoted: The guys at crossroads wanted $10.00 for a fifty can if I buy 20 each. That is way too much! Ugh, that blows. I'd wait for the SAR show in December personally - that is the one where I've bought a good quantity at a good price before. Other than that, I'd just stock up on .30's at Dillon. I've heard good stuff about the cans from www.armygear.net but the shipping will kill ya. |

Guess I will be waiting for the SAR show. Thanks everyone That's what I do. Every year when I'm there selling I take time out to go and buy a bunch from the vendor who sets up outside between the last Crossroad's building and the SAR building. Not only does he have quality cans at good prices , but he's got a great assortment of types & sizes too. |
