Ok, so I got a speeding ticket when I was traveling in Indiana.  70 in a 55...thought it was 65.  Oh well.

I've never gotten a ticket in my 14 years of driving.

Does out of state tickets affect my record?  If so, I would be interested in taking online driving school to avoid my insurance rates from increasing.

Any suggestions for online school?

BTW - I'm not contesting the ticket.  Regardless of distance...I was at fault for not seeing the 55mph sign.  I just want to minimize the damage of this idiotic move I made...

Well the trouble I have with this is that they mailed it to you and was not givin to you at the spot of the horrible crime by a COP! How do you know you were speeding? Is this a scam? I have nothing to say that might be of help. Too many stories of BS tickets being handed out to out of staters by CASH STARVED cities.

BTW does the ticket have your face picture on it. Any pictures? If not. You were never there!

I speed! Cop pulls me over! cop pulls me out of the car and beats me nearly to death––––––Oppps LOL!   COP issues ticket. I pay or challenge in court!

On the ticket I received out of state, I was told by the issuing officer that as long as I paid it before the court date on the ticket, it would not be reported to my home state, thus it would not show up on my driving record.

If you live in an NRVC state then it will affect your record. Chances are you do. Do the online school, its cheaper and you'll save the points. Especially since you dont make a habit of getting tickets.
