i need to remove a flash hider real quick and it's f-in on there

Have you tried clamping it down in a vise with a couple of 2x4's? I haven't tried it personally, but have heard it works. On 2x4 on each side of the vise, barrel own the middle. Tighten until the barrel starts to make an impression into the wood, then take your wrench to the flash hider.

Try heating it up with propane or mapp gas torch.  Just the FH.

Instead of completely avoiding answering your question as per the forum style, yes, I have a vise and all the clammping/heating tools required to remove the muzzle device. I live in South Tucson.

How long are the blocks? there is only about 4 inches from the barrel nut until the gas block.
