How fast should one expect a ticket in the mail? Also, any idea if Arizona and Illinois are compact states?

It's not a legal ticket unless they personally serve you. I'd be surprised if they take the time to serve you in IL. They have 120 days from the date of the violation to physically serve you. If this does not happen, the ticket is tossed and will not show up on your record. This is not speculation! Something like 80% of the tickets go unpaid because they cities can't serve all of them. |

Alright, so I had a rental through my company....I assume they will mail it to Hertz then they will try to contact me? How do they "serve" me if they send it in the mail?? Thanks Drew Oh, in that case you're screwed. Seriously. The rental contract stipulates that if you get a photo ticket, they will pay it and send you the bill. Not joking. That's how it works. They just pay it and then charge the credit card used to rent the car. |

Do you know how fast I can receive it? what do you do for a living? Thanks for the heads up––Drew No idea on how fast. Typically, here in town, you see them in the mail about a week later. I'm self employed, install signs and now run a CNC router part time. |

Alright, I may have to defend myself, as the company will likely pay Hertz off (they dont have my CC) and come after me and want to put points on my company record....how does this work? If I were a normal AZ resident they mail it and if you dont pay it they then have to serve you in that 120 days?

If you don't, they *might* serve you. In your situation, I think you're pretty much screwed. I admit I don't have a clue how it actually works with an out of state rental operated by someone other than the renter. |
| Been where your at. Most likely hertz will give your name to the city, they will mail you a ticket. If you don't pay it in time it goes back to Hertz and they will pay it and charge what ever account paid for the car, plus they will add a fee on for doing that. They may even charge you a fee for just turning over your name. Was the car you had rented titled in AZ, if it was not you may get lucky and the paper chase may take to long. Often they will not send tickets to out of state titled cars. |
