Me and my buddies are doing this in February, it's a 200 mile relay race from Wickenburg to Tempe. Have any of you locals had any interactions with this race or done it? |

yeah, it ends at the shopping center I work at.. a bunch of drunk runners stumbling all over at the finish after the race. LOL.
Everyone seems to have a blast, my friend ran in it last year and she said it was a good fun run. I think she did 2 legs with her team. It is a very popular race! and the scenery is pretty good for the route as well! |

It actually sounds/looks like fun. Dunno if I'm quite up to 8 miles at a time yet. This is the first time hearing about it for me.

This brought teams the backway from Prescott thru Congress into Wickenburg, and thre is a long stretch that was on dirt with washes team vans had to cross. I was recovery support for any vans that found themselves stuck in the sand/water of the wash crossings. Its a pretty cool event, and everyone I had contact with was awesome and its pretty well put together. This year avoids the area offroad, so I wont be attending...but good luck and be safe. A runner was struck and killed last year between Wickenburg and the I-17 freeway portion. |

Can you tell me anything about the new course? I'm kinda disappointed there won't be any of the offroad stuff. ETA: Thank you for volunteering your time, road running would not exist without people like you, I am deeply appreciative. |

Its not posted yet that I have seen....so cant really say about the new course. Im sure it will be challenging and looooong ;)
I probably wont get advanced notice on the course this year since I wont be participating with the radio crew.....but good luck to you and your team... |
