I'm going to be in Nevada in the next few months and had posted a question in the Nevada HTF regarding where to buy fireworks for personal use. I had mentioned that we in AZ had a new provision to legalize fireworks like sparklers and snakes. One response asked, why these were now to be legal when every 4th. fireworks are being sold openly on the street? I believe he was referring to Arizona.

My question is: Are / were fireworks legally sold from retail stands anywhere in AZ? And what fireworks are to be considered legal under the new law?

I'm in Prescott where having fireworks of any kind was a capitol offense.

Thanks

Lived here my whole life and fireworks were never sold in the open. He is misinformed

Also as an FYI the new law allowing them does not take place until December

Welllll......... not legally. I have personally never heard of anyone getting in trouble for firework possession / usage, other than a few morons that were just stupid with them.

Also, keep in mind, our state is mostly desert that a majority of the year is just waiting for an excuse to catch on fire.

Never knew that. . . Well that makes for a crappy 4th.  It's a desert, sand doesn't really like to burn well.  I guess I'm leaving mine back in MN.

We had a wet winter and no real rain since April. There's plenty of shit that'll burn.

Yeah, AZ isn't a sand dune. It has tons of grass, bushes and trees that will light up like a trick cigar.
