$10 Parking $15 entry That right there keeps me from going anymore. Stuff cheaper online - it's in stock and arrives at my doorstep for a lot less than $25 for shipping I'll second that comment. he could have ordered the gun online and picked it up at an FFL for less then $25 and saved the gas and hassle of trying to get inside, not to mention the crowds. I just got a new complete reloading setup shipped to my door for $21. I do love this internet thing. Too bad that most of the people going to the shows keep going. They will never adjust the fees they charge if everyone keeps giong. |

Went there today and was not to impressed. Very little stock of ammo as compared to the other shows. Pretty small in size in terms of tables.
Some of the asking prices where pretty steep. I saw a C products 6.8 25rd mag for $25 at one table. The same mags are $12 from 44mag. |

The ammo prices were good, but yeah the parking & entry fee was steep. One of the local ammo booths had 200rd boxes of AE XM193 5.56 ammo for $55.00 which is almost half of what I pay back home in IL.
ETA: Youngs Manufacturing had some very nice stripped billet lower receivers for sale. They were marked "Y/M", and the gentleman at the booth said he made them in-house, and he only did about 250 of them. If I had some extra cash to spend I definately would have picked one up for what he was asking ($200.00). |
| well after cabelas stiff me on a maadi model arm ( wich ive been wanting for 5 yrs now **angy face* I went to the show in search of one , well I found one in original condition thumbhole stock tac-welded muzzle nut,ect and the guy wanted 950.00$$ for it i was just shocked......950.00 for a post ban thumbhole ak so a yugo mauser 98k follew me home for 225$ and 200rnds of ammo |
| I only went because a friend of mine that I got hooked on guns really wanted to go. I didn't expect to buy much, and I was only looking for an Uzi sling and some AR stuff. I was very happy to find a 500 round case of .308 wolf for $160, which was pretty cheap compared to the 220-250 price I have been seeing on the interwebs. Im pissed I didn't see the HP clones at J&G, I would have picked one up for sure. |

I doubt I could have gotten shipping and an FFL transfer for $25. Now I could have driven to Prescott for less than $25 in gas (maybe). Only reason I went at all was because I knew J&G would be there and that they would have the Hi-Powers with them. Also in person J&G will hand you 3 guns and you can pick the one you want, whereas if they ship you get what you get. Otherwise I agree, it's just too damn much $$$. I'd rather go to the Mesa show, it's smaller but you don't have to pay to park, and it's only 7 or 8 bucks to get in. This is what I got for my $299 + Tax + Parking + Entry: http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m192/NVGdude/Hi-Power002.jpg Damn sweeeeeeeeet!!!! |
