Living in North Cuba right now and saw this on a local board and wanted to ask the Arizona folks if you have seen this and if its true.

It's sensationalized a bit, but if you think about it, not much.
It's true that the area mentioned (note it's ONLY the small-ish strip at the bottom of the refuge, not the whole refuge) is locked down, and we mere citizens can't go there now. It's also true that there are a shitload of mexicans utilizing that land in their trafficing and smuggling routes. If you combine these two facts, we might as well just sign it back over to Mexico. |

You see, you just don't understand. Here's the situation: these "businessmen" are trying to make a living in the "transportation business" and they keep getting interfered with by these "do gooder" local police and the short sighted populace. So the Federal government has established a special "trade corridor" so that they can go about their business without interference. Some of these goods transported by these "businessmen" are for the "consumer market" and other items are necessary to fuel the "fires of industry". Don't worry yourself over the loss of "sovereign territory", it's just desert. Besides, after Arizona there are 49 more states! So, don't worry, everything is under control.

It's not only that strip of land on the border in the Buenos Aries Refuge, there are also warning signs as far north as the Sonoran Desert National Monument south of Phx.
Parts of Organ Pipe Nat'l Mon. are still closed since a ranger was shot and killed by drug smugglers back in '02. It's god damned ridiculous that this shit goes on. |

So let me get this straight ,they post signs to keep us out . Why not post signs in spanish to keep them out that read NO TRESPASSING VIOLATORS WILL BE SHOT , SURVIVERS WILL BE SHOT AGAIN .
This is bullshit ,it is our country . We must secure our borders and rid our land of this scum .

Think of certain neighborhoods in....oh........let's say Detroit.
Anybody here care to take a stroll there after 9pm on a Saturday night? Those 3500 acres of the Buenos Airies are not a good place sheeple to recreate in either. Not many LEO's per square mile down there. Feel like 'making a stand'? Load up some buddies, guns and beer. Head on down there. Play music really loud and build a big campfire. Keep a light played on your 50k pick-up truck. You might just get lucky. |

If they are there is no way I could support or condone any action they take . In my America there is no place for Nazis or Black Panthers,Or the KKK or LaRaza . I a'm all for protecting our borders and getting rid of the illegal's,drug cartels,and human smuggelers ,but if they are in fact a white supremest hate group than we should not support them . Sadly, Arizona has become a war zone in certain areas...
To me, the solution is to open these lands up to shooting groups and let people go shoot targets there all day... If anyone gets attacked they are already armed and now they have free targets that are more interactive! I don't want to be told I cannot take my jeep where I want for my own safety... I want to be told to bring protection in case these fools try anything... We need better media coverage to show the country what is really happening here... My wife is an immigrant, I imported her all the way from Canada, and let me tell you the immigration system here is totoally garbage and almost un-navigable without an attorney... We need to lock the borders down, but also make immigration easier and more reasonable to expect adherance to... Just my humble honest opinion.... TL |
