This was an email for my mother and my Uncle Max, but you all can read it, too. I normally don't respond to this kind of thing, but I feel my family, who are Mexican, but were born in America and not Mexico, who are of hispanic origins, are being ignorant and naive about SB 1070.
I hate to say it, but you both are ignorant and naive when it comes to SB 1070 and the dangers both here in AZ and the United States. Max, straight from your Facebook info page it states... "The new law makes it a crime under state law to be in the country illegally. Immigrants unable to produce documents showing they are allowed to be in the U.S. could be arrested, jailed for up to six months and fined $2,500. Other provisions allow lawsuits against government agencies that hinder enforcement of immigration laws, and make it illegal to hire undocumented workers for day labor or knowingly transport them." Wake up call....INS and USBP have been doing this for years. Link for SB 1070 SB1070 NO WHERE does it state just Mexicans. It states unauthroized alien. AZ has an influx of illegal CHINESE immigrants, too.... Chinese Immigrants Phoenix is number two in the world, Mexico being number one, for kidnappings. Phoenix is number TWO IN THE WORLD...can you believe that...for kidnappings. Not even the whole state of AZ...just one city is number two in the world. And those are only the reported kidnappings. The whole country of Mexico is number one in the world. Can you believe that?? And who are doing the kidnappings? Illegal immigrants connected to the Mexican drug cartels. Look at the related posts off to the right.Phoenix Kidnappings The drug cartel wars are extending into AZ. Corrupt Mexican soldiers are coming to AZ to conduct home invasions. Home Invasions How can you both sit there and say that all this is wrong? Governor Jan Brewer has the balls to do something about this whole thing. Your own father was deported back to Mexico how many times before he became a legal resident by marrying your mother?? When Americans go to a different country, they have to show a passport to legally gain entry and again show it on the way back into their own country. When I was stationed overseas, my own wife had to show a passport to gain entry into that country. AND then, to gain entry back into her own country of origin, she, again, had to show a passport to show she was a legal US resident. It's the law. Yet, when an illegal immigrant (Mexican, Chinese or whatever they are) pokes their head into our country, we, as tax paying American citizens, support them. Que Merda is that?? I have family in Mexico. Each one of them is allowed to come into this country legally. What's wrong with the other people wanting access to the US on becoming legal US citizens or having some kind of document showing they are legally allowed into MY country?? What's stopping them? I have a military ID card....I have an AZ drivers license...I have other cards and documents that verify that I was born and I am allowed to live in the US legally. Immigrant documentation is another form of ID. What's the problem with carrying that? I would proudly carry them, if I had them, to show that I was legally allowed in this great country. The rest of the US should be doing this. The West coast has an illegal Asian immigration problem. The East coast has illegal eastern european immigrants as well as illegal immigrants from SouthWest Asia. This isn't about race, ethnicity, nation of origin...it's about National Security....the security of AZ citizens as well as the citizens of the United States. Phoenix is the central hub for immigrants from the south. The immigrants (Mexicans, Chinese, whatever) split off from Phoenix and go across the United States to who knows where. What's to stop Muslim radical extremists from doing the same thing and Phoenix turning into the terrorist hub? SB1070 is designed to lessen the terrorist threat. Granted, not all illegals come here to murder, rape, rob, conduct drug/human trafficking, kidnap or be involved in home invasions...it's always the few that ruin it for the majority. But they are still here illegally. Crimes are committed everyday by illegal immigrants of any country. John Lee Malvo, the D.C. sniper, was an illegal immigrant from Jamaica. John Lee Malvo Eighteen-year-old Tricia Taylor of Detroit was in court in December 2002 to hear the plea of the illegal alien who caused her to lose both legs above the knees. In your own backyard, Max, an illegal immigrant. The following page has numerous people killed or injured by illegal immigrants. Victims of Illegal Immigrants How many of these people would be alive or uninjured today if these illegals were deported back to their own country? The Border Patrol has always had the authority to detain and process illegal immigrants. SB 1070 expands local law enforcement roles to help detain illegals. Why has no one ever had a problem with the USBP doing their role with illegals? Why is SB1070 any different? I have no problem with a foreign person coming to and staying in this country....LEGALLY!!! |

Some more questions for your relatives. AZ SB1070 has been federal law since 1946. If it wasn't racist for the last 64 years why is it now? Telemundo is claiming that 1070 has legal citizens of hispanic descent fearful. With Phoenix the #2 kidnapping capital of the world why are they more afraid of the police asking for ID than they are of the kidnappers? If Telemundo is right and hispanics are fearful, it's not because of 1070, it's because of the lies being told about it for no other reason than to make them fearful. Why is the media, including Telemundo, intentionally sowing fear by spreading lies? |

I must be getting under my mom's skin. She recently said on FB that she is an American of Mexican Descent. I emailed and told her I'm not denying the fact that I am of Mexican descent, but since I was born in America, I'm American, not Mexican-American.
She says I am judging her....I responded back saying I'm correcting her. (*Side note* My family and I had a falling out a couple of years ago, so I find it easy to talk to her like this.) |

It took me about a month of debate to correct her. Now glenn beck and rush are her daily shows. She was mad as hell once i laid down all the information i know over probably a hundred hours of debate ( by debate I mean her saying something emotional and me destroyign it with a 15 minute rant full of facts). |

Yeah, my uncle, like it says, is in on the opposition of 1070. I HATE people that are ignorant and naive about the subjects they are talking about, especially my family. I made my wife's jaw drop when I went off on mom and uncle about this. She knows I keep my opinions to myself, but I can't let this one go. Since then..about a week now...I have voiced my opinions about stuff at work as well....mostly about work related stuff. HAHA I'm like a different person right now.
I still have yet to hear from my uncle on this matter. |
