For about the last year or so, it seems that every other asshole in the city is dumping their dog in my neighborhood. I have lost track of the number of strays I have given water or some food to, or tried to assist but were too skiddish to approach. Even had one jackass tie their dog up to an abandoned house on a rainy ass night with so little lead the dog could not get under cover.
Monday it happened again, a beautiful all white chow mix ends up on my doorstep. Loveable as all get out, well groomed and freshly manicured paws. Of course, no collar. Gave her water and some kibble and put her on a long lead out front. This dog is too well groomed not to have wandered away and the owner is frantic. By evening, noone has come looking. We put an add on Craigslist, have walked the dog around the neighborhood and noone has come running. Figured I'd ask here. If she is yours or you know someone missing this dog, tell me about her funny little feature, and Ill work to get her back to her owner ASAP. I have an English Bulldog and a little rugmutt and her 3 pups, so my house is full. If noone claims her by next week, I gotta take her in. West Valley, 91st Ave and Indian School area. |
